Workload Management Strategy to deal with complaint files

Ottawa, October 23, 2008 - In keeping with its public commitment to reduce or eliminate the backlog of complaints by the end of 2009-2010, the Office of Information Commissioner has put in place a multi-disciplinary team to review complaints received before April 1, 2008. This special team will develop strategies and recommendations on how to deal with these complaints.

In addition, the Intake and Early Resolution Team will continue its efforts to resolve, where possible, the complaints received after April 1, 2008.

The Information Commissioner is committed to improve service delivery to Canadians.
